This Sunday @ 4PM I’ll be playing the Schubert Trout Quintet and Schumann Piano Quartet in Encino for Classical Encounters on their wonderful Steinway D. Tickets and more info available here. Along with my colleagues Tereza Stanislav, Rob Brophy, Cecilia Tsan, and Drew Dembowski.
Last night we finished the recording of the new Saint-Saens album for Sonarti Records. It features the first Violin Sonata, the First Elegy for Violin and Piano, the Fantasy for Harp, the Fantasy for violin and harp, 3 mazurkas for piano, and the Etude en Forme de Valse for piano. It was recorded in UCLA’s brand new Ostin Music Center with its excellent acoustics. Along with my colleagues harpist Kyunghee-Kim Sutre, and violinist Guillaume Sutre. Stay tuned for release info!
I’m heading into the studio again to record a disc with works by Saint-Saens for Sonarti Records (some solo works as well as the 1st violin sonata with violinist Guillaume Sutre). Stay tuned for more info!
You can now purchase a copy of my latest album ‘Pensées Intimes’ with violinist Guillaume Sutre, on Fnac here. The album features works by Boulanger, Pfitzner, Antoine, and the word premiere recording on the Galipolli sonata by F.S. Kelly! More info under the Records tab in the menu above. We will officially release this disc with a WWI memorial concert on Nov 10, at UCLA’s Schoenberg Hall. More info here.
The album Woelfl; The Paris Years with Kyunghee-Kim Sutre and Guillaume Sutre was just released on Sonarti records. Click here for more info. In a few weeks, the album Pensées Intimes with violinist Guillaume Sutre, featuring works by Pfitzner, Boulanger, Kelly, and Antoine will be released on the French label Hortus. Next week I’ll be recording works for violin and piano (again with the inspiring violinist Guillaume Sutre) as well as solo piano works by Saint-Saens at UCLA’s brand new recording studio on one of Steinway’s top Concert Artist pianos. That album will be released on Sonarti. Two weeks after that I am hitting the recording studio again for solo works by Hindemith, Casella, Vierne, Schulhoff, and Moulaert for the Hortus label.
